nokia n85 problem with the light?

HI i have had my nokia n85 since a week and it has been a brilliant device.But i have noticed that after using the phone the light on the screen does not go off and still remains on.Even when the keypad is locked the light is still on but quite dim.I don`t know why its happening.Before the light used to go off but now all of a sudden its just remaining on but dim.I am worried because it will consume more of the battery.
Please help me solve this problem
