Nokia N82 - Why does my phone lags after deleting files like messages or pictures?

It lags when I delete many files at once. Is there a way to fix this problem? It also lags when a message suddenly arrived while I'm typing a message or doing other stuff.

I've reformatted my phone many times already but this problem still persists.
