Nokia N80 .. luv ya .. 4GB miniSD .. Yep!! : )

i personally think the camera has a big part in it not working. 4gb cards work on non-camera phones (e61/e62) and not on phones with a camera (n80, n73)
 
Folks, 4GB card will not work in any of the N/E series yet. Even if it works it will be buggy. So, dont waste $$ on it. Instead get additional 2GB cards if you need more than 2 GB.
 
LOL... one of the few Symbians without a camera so what's the point really?....unless your loading movies or using it as a means of transfering a ton of work material from your office to your home. The N93, N80, N73 and N95 are the ones that should really be focusing on support for 4gigs IMO.

I know and imagine how sick it would be if it did and it supported a 4gig card. 12 gigs at your disposal would just be unreal....in fact maybe better than the N97 I just got from hybrid today!
 
My testings show that New Nokia Firmware 4.xxx and also the so-called
Nokia N80 (IE version) ... both can only support 2GB miniSD.

These 2 version can't even see 4GB miniSD card ... why ?
 
Correct. No card inserted, according to the phone. 2Gb works fine. I'm running an old firmware, but I highly doubt an upgrade will make any difference
 
No offense but the people that have tried the 4gb card in their N73's could place enough files and media to fill it near capacity. Showing the card has that much space doesnt prove anything. A few movies could easily take up that much space. Proof would be a video posted on Youtube (or some other public site) with the phone being operated with the 4 gig card in it. Opening up menus and navigating to the gallery and going through the media and apps installed. Snapping a few photos and seeing how fluid it is would be some solid proof as well. The obvious is to finish a clip with no edits scrolling to the memory and showing the amount available and used. Sounds like a "to do" but if 10 yr olds are able to record things and post them in seconds to you tube, anyone can! If this truly works and people see it with their own eyes I would think you could generate a little business for yourself and the time spent would be worth while. Otherwise, the people on hofo are not so foolish that they believe everything they are told.
