Nokia N76, N93i and N800 Announced!

I'm definitely interested in the n800 (not as much in the other two). The primary reason I didn't go for the 770 was the lean memory and slower proc that folks complained about... but this may be the one for me!

I'm actually surprised that we didn't see any n95 action at CES. I'm still pretty lukewarm on that phone, but I will admit that when I saw how big the screen is, it made it more tempting.

@Blazers: Hey, did you get any hands on time with the n800? What'ya think? At this point, unless the e90 comes out and knocks my socks off, I think I'll probably be heading towards buying the n800 and a smaller S60 phone (e50 perhaps?), so I'm pretty interested in people's impressions.

bleh the razr-esque keypad is a step in the wrong direction IMHO. Of all the craptastic phones to emulate, why pick that one!

I wish it did, as well. But it's basically a copycat of the n93 with a smaller case and improved screen, from what I can find.
 
Yeah your're right. But the size and appearance was one of the major turnoffs for people with the original N93. Such a feature-rich phone deserves to be noticed, so Nokia addressed this. I know all you N93 owners will disagree, but for alot of people size does matter. For the record, it could careless about size. I got teased all the time about my N90 "1990's brickphone", while they all whipped out their RAZRs.
 
When I had the N93 it was bad enough I was getting strange looks and comments about how big it was but it was damn right embarrassing when I couldn't make a call.

Just where is the N75 anyway...

I think the only reason the RAZR sold so well is because I think all US carriers had it (rare), there were countless versions, and well people seem to like ugly phones.

I used a razr for 2 minutes before returning it to its owner...who has since moved on to a Dash as well.
 
Not much of a difference in size if you ask me. If i ws an n93 owner I would pass on this. From other photos the only real advantage I could see is that it appears to give you better access to the top row of keys when the phone is in the horizontal position for web browsing and pic/vid viewing. Other than that it just sort of cleaned up some of the edges and shrunk it slightly.
 
LMAO...i remember when my cousins were making fun of my 6260 years ago. I too couldnt make a call and looked like chris farley (minus the weight) running around trying to get a signal (from blacksheep). They couldnt believe the size of it and this is pre-rzr generation....of course I started demoing all of the features of the phone and their collective jaws dropped and they shut up quickly. I showed them 3 or 4 full length simpsons episodes and threw down some n-gage style gaming.....and then I couldnt make a call and they heckled me once again.. .....bstrds!
 
i just hope that the people who were clamoring for nokia to introduce a slim phone are not the same people who are now saying: "why is nokia trying to copy the razr? blah, blah, blah..."


i agree that the design is a step in the wrong direction... but that outer screen with the landscape mode is fantastic... i kinda imagine that it might be just like that with the E90...
