Nokia N75 is Now Available

i figured that was what the n76 basically was. Nokia saying "ha ha .. we don't need you" and shipping a phone with the exact specs (although ugly), but something funny happened on the way to the mass market... the N76 has yet to be released.

We poke at Cingular and the Delays they make in making companies put their firmware on, but look at Nokia and their unbranded sets (cough :: n95 :: cough).. they aren't really a shining example of timely delivery.

Still dislike Cingular though...

Post #1686 is my first post with pics. #1862 has a few taken yesterday. There are comments scattered throughout the thread, too.

Someone change the ridiculous name of this thread. It isn't available.

Heck, people had the US 3G N80 for a while but it got canned. I still don't believe the N75 is coming.

Got it from a Cingular manager that the N75 will LAUNCH soon. Without any ferreting from me, not even mentioning my own interest in the N75, my wife just volunteered the info that her boss works with a Cing manager who mentioned that it would LAUNCH soon.

Will try to get a definition of soon.

Probably because it was done through flikr and he has it set to a certain time period and forgot they were on there, thats my guess. Plus you saw what time he posted it

well it's sorta different because n76 does not have us 3g...do n75 take external memory as well? and i think it uses pop-port..n76 is much better.

True but there were never any non-proto US 3G N80s made, to my knowledge. Just a handful of protos.

I can confirm the presence of 4 non-proto US 3G N75s, three of which have Cingular branding, with the most recent Cingular firmware being in December.

I've actually handled this phone a few months ago. It's not that hot
