Hi guys/gyals, i'm in need of some advice. I would like to decide between these two phones, and need help. The N73 im getting for $600 and the P310 $500. I really like the look of the P310 and its something stylish and unique, but am i sacrificing better features if i overlook the N73. The N73 doesnt look anything all that special to ME, thats why im leaning towards the P310.Any suggestions or another other phones perhaps to consider? Thankyou

The n73 is a great phone. Although it doesn't look as unique as the p310, the functionality of the n73 makes up for its looks. I think the p310 is overpriced simply because of its looks. It really comes down to what features you're looking for in a phone. If you want good reception, a nice camera, and a large bright screen, go for the n73. If you want a stylish phone with average reception, go for the p310.

I just bought the N73. Are you in the states or Canada. Why so much money? I got mine for $464.00 from Import GSM plus you get a one year warranty for free. Like the above posters said its all about what you want. I just amazed at the price.

Im in Canada, with Rogers. The N73 price i said was for the Me edition i believe. Its a ballpark figure. I really like the fact the N91 Me has so much more memory, but it is rather big and more expensive. I need something with good reception, camera/video, looks unique/different.

hello!

i'm new here .. but let me tell you this ..
N73 is a awesome device, i use it for quite some time now and have fully explored it ..

the only lacks i noticed so far: the material of the joystick is crap - that chrome plastic is simply too slippery ..

2nd big lack: Night Shots are too blurry, you have purple fields everywhere .. but that's the only stuff i can tell you ..

N73 rocks

If you get the Samsung P310 you will tire of it's looks rather quickly, most likely as soon as you hit the wall with it's features.

The N91 is big and expensive like you said. It also doesn't get near the reviews of the N73.

The N73, while not the most 'stylish' has most everything the N91 has (save for wifi, hard drive a couple of other minor niceties).

However, the N73 over the N91....lighter, better battery life, more INTERNAL memory (for applications), has vibrate, and an expandable memory card slot in which you could easily squash the hard drive capacity with a few 2gb mini sd cards. Those are major pluses, at least, IMHO.

Also, the joystick does not bother me. I've gotten used to it.

And, there are tons of apps for the N73. You name it, it's probably available.

HTH.

Ive Just Gotten A N73 Today,i Lost My K800i, Therefore I Wished To Try A Different Phone, cameras Are Alike, Layout Of Taking Pictures Are Exactly The Same, E.g Turn The Phone To The Side. Both Very Similar Phones Same Size , But What Nicks It For Me Is , N73 Music Playback Quality Is Amazing Much Louder Then K800i,or Any Other Sony Ericson Hands Down Beats Them For Quality ,not A Crackle Or Fault. Also The N73 Seems Alot More Sturdy, However Is A Tiny Bit Slower, but Overall Is A Good Mobile,i Recomend The N73 Or Any Of The Nokia N Range Over Sony Ericson If You Want To Go For Music Quality, not Quantity, But Saying That, you Can Buy 1gb-2gb Cards For The Nokia Phones For 10-20 Quid.. One Word Amazing, If Any1 Could Private Me Some Games Or Good Applications For The N73,i Would Appreciate This A Great Deal, Hope My Opinion Helped M8, Tom

Sorry About That For Some Strange Reason I Thought I Was Talking About Comparing A N73 With A Sony Ericson Phone,my Bad,but Let Me Just Add,samsung Are One Of The Nicest Looking Phones With The Worst Features, your Bored With Them After The First Day Lol.

The same apps for the N73 are for the N91, so that is not an advantage of the n73 over the n91.

Personal note: People often say "get a couple of XGB cards and you will be good to go" I often respond with "I will loose them" Case in point. I had one phone and two sim cards (work / personal). In the span of two weeks I ended up replacing each twice as I kept loosing them. I am sure mini sd will not fare better.

When adding up the costs of two mini sd cards and seeing how much (if at all) you will save over a 4gb flash/HD option always factor in the fact that you have to a.) remember the cards b.) not loose the cards and c.) switch out the cards. Sometimes that convenience of not having to do that is worth the extra bucks.

As it looks like you have the N91, that's nice to know about the vibrate. That feature is missing off of several sites that I looked at for it's feature set.

Buying an extra battery (or higher capacity one) is an option for most any phone.... Extra $ on top of an already expensive phone, though.

HTH.

My note about the N73 having more apps was aimed at the N73 vs. the p310. My bad on the confusion.

I've over 50 (yes 50) different flash memory cards, dating back to my first digital camera (I'm an event photog, generating an average of 10,000 images per week). Only ones ever 'lost' was 2 that were actually stolen by an employee...

Quite used to swapping memory cards out for whatever reason.

Ok i really do like the look of the P310, saw a video and the thing is tiny, i've used other samsungs b4 and i admit they are quite boring to use. However between the N73 & N91 MUSIC EDITIONS, the N73 seems to be getting the better reviews:

I do like the look of the N91 ME, but expensive, so would the N73 ME be the better choice??

after fiddling around all day with the nokia n73, ive gotten used to the design, has some great features. and basically any application you want, its out there for the n73. the camera quality is amazing. I've noticed people talking about lag, i'm not sure if i have a newer version, or if nokia have sorted out the firmware but i havent had any lag and i have filled it up to the brim with music, pictures and videos. i have no fault what so ever with it,im happy with this phone,go for it mate you will not regret it

sorry to post in this thread 3 times but i am just getting to grips with the phone and as you are struggling to choose a phone im just trying to assure you this is a good phone, i have the silver and peach one, however this doesnt look girly at all hence the peach,it looks more of a browny colour!

I'm not sure if it was a ballpark USD or CAD figure, but I just got a N73 ME for $500 USD.

I would say, get the Nokia. I've been addicted to it for the last 24 hours. I absolutely love it. The only thing so far I would change is for the Active Standby to display a few received emails or text messages like the E61 does. Other than that...I can't stop using it.
