Nokia N73 Disassembly The Worst Problem

After my N73 accidentally got scratched, I decided to change my N73 cover and chassis. I disassembled it very carefully and after disassembling it my camera doesn't work anymore. The front camera still works but the slider on the back when I slide it, nothing happens anymore. I already tried the deep reset but didn't work. I think this has something to do with the internal. I'm sure I didn't damage anything. I love this phone a lot and I will do anything to fix it. Please help if anyone knows what's wrong with it...

This happened to me as well. Disassemble it and make sure all the screws are tight enough. When it occured to me it wasnt tight enough and that is why it would happen. The contacts wouldnt touch

My goodness thank you so much for your help, I found out that it wasn't really the screws, it was the chassis (advertised as original) that I bought that doesn't make the screws drill more deeper. When I pushed the phone so hard, the camera worked. It just needs to be very tight.

I need to buy a new set of screws and cover again but this time it has to be OEM. Do you know where I can get one? I need real geniune, not the very good copy ones.

Again thank you for your help, I owe you one.

www.cnn.cn is pretty good but for some reason they done come with memory card doors. I did the exact same thing as you got a non oem one first them got an OEM one off cnn.cn

So I just used the non OEM memory card door on the OEM housing and its not bad

N73 stuff from cnn.cn

I was going to buy from there but I heard that they also advertise fakes as OEM, they are actually from Hong Kong too. It's really hard to trust someone these days.

To be honest I bought my cover from ebay to the same seller (I've seen your old thread) as you did because he had a very good feedback. The cover really look liked the original and you can't tell if it's fake but in the end I still figured it out by comparing it to my original one. You won't really notice but one of them is the screws from the back slider, they used a cross shaped screws than what the original used. And also like I said there is this hole that doesn't make the screws drill deeper. It's really a waste of $40, I thought this price would be enough to buy an OEM, but I was wrong.

How did you know that the cover that you bought from cnn was OEM? Is there any differences? And what about the memory card door? Do they come with the extra parts like the one from ebay? Anyway, if I buy from cnn and it's real OEM then I will get a good price. I was actually planning to buy from wwwl8shop.com and all parts that I need would probably be more than $100.

By the way check this out http://cnn.cn/shop/nokia-full-housing-blackblack-p-1396.html when you got your cover did it come with the extra parts inside? (two gold points, battery connector, camera flash).

It comes with the parts in red seen here

As for how to know if its OEM well my first wasnt OEM because first the paint chipped fast and also the camera slider would make sounds as if something was loose.

Sure there are good fakes out there but most people who have gotten housings off cnn said it was good qaulity and the price is about the same as the good fakes on ebay give or take.

As for the memory card door no one knows why they dont provide it but at least as I mentioned if you have the non OEM one then its not too bad.

Ive had mine for a few weeks and no signs of chipping on it. The non OEM one chipped a bit on the sliver part around the small front cam after a few days

Alright thanks, those parts are exactly what I wanted.

The price is actually a bit higher than the ones on ebay but a little lower compared to the UK seller l8shop. Maybe this really is an OEM because they include stuff that include l8shop too (gold metal points, etc). Also like you said, if it doesn't chip then I think that's a good news. When I bought my cover from ebay, they didn't include anything but buttons including the memory card door but that's about it.

Are they still not providing the memory card cover? Maybe they ran out of stock a long time ago? Yeah I have an extra memory card door. I'll use it in case they don't provide it and it can be taken off so easily so it's not that bad.

I shoulda order from them in the first place, I guess I made a mistake.

I think I will order there, thank you very much for your help.

I feel relieved that my N73 is alive again, I was really sad when thought it broke. Thanks again bro .

Nice looking phone you got there, I like the style.

Actually, the memory card door isn't really noticeable. I wouldn't worry about it too much. Besides, this can be taken off easily anyway in case I get a real OEM card door.

It's really easy to change your N73 to ME or IE if you know how to do these stuff haha.

But I still picked the white/red, I always like that color. Maybe when I get another N73, I'll change it to ME.

I already ordered, I pray that that everything will be okay. I wonder when they will ship my order.
