I'm reconsidering... after looking at the E90 review

http://my-symbian.com/s60v3/review_e90.php

They both have a 330 MHz processor, but the 800 x 352 screen on the e90 is what is hooking me, I find that very useful for web browsing.

GPS is a +

It offers similar functions and in many cases superior functions.....but it doesnt offer a whopping 80mb's of free to use RAM and a browsing experience never seen on any mobile phone. It's a toss up IMO. If you can afford both then buy both. If you can only afford one then the E90 is the way to go IMO.

Where's the "both are too *******ed expensive" category???

Seriously though, if money weren't an issue, I'd be REALLY torn. I think in the end, I'd probably go for the n95 and a BT Keyboard... though the e90 is DAMNED sezy!

but its HUGE! you can barely fit it in a pocket (near impossible if you wear tight-ish jeans). besides, i rather trade in the 80mb of ram for sexy looks ^^

While the 5mp camera on the N95 may be overrated, we're still looking at a $300 price difference between these two devices. That being the case, I can't see myself throwing in the extra money for a QWERTY when I already have the SU-8W. This phone is also anything less than pocketable. I see very little advantage to the internal screen since it seems to be just a novelty for expanding menus and previews. In my eyes, I'd be spending the extra money on more RAM, QWERTY keyboard I have no use for, lesser resolution camera, big internal screen, and a size I couldn't possibly stomach. Pass.

True but the N95 isnt exactly razr thin. It's still considered a bulky phone in it's own right. If you've held an N80 it's slightly thinner and longer and wider. I dont think it's a pocketable phone either and at that price i dont know if I would want it to be. I dont blame you and others for saying the E90 is too bulky though...but that's what back ups are for!

I'm just going to be devil's advocate and say neither, because if I'm going to spend $1000USD on a phone, I want to be damn sure that the manufacturer isn't going to announce the E95 or something immediately afterwards. I want a phone like that to be an absolute killer, and honestly, without US 3G (and in my dreams, T-Mobile compatible), a faster processor, and maybe more RAM, SDHC support, blah blah. I just couldn't justify or rationalize paying that much for a phone when I'm still thinking, "Man, I wish it had...". I'm also not sure if it was going to be incorporating any of the FP2 features, but it would be a shame if it didn't.

Blame Qualcomm. And now that Cingular/AT&T has chosen MediaFLO for their mobile TV solution, that will even drive Nokia and S.E. farther away from the U.S. market. T-Mobile might be our only hope.

I'm with you on that. I think its Cingular's fault. We are left with 3G from the likes of Samsung, LG and Moto. Pitiful.....Not even SE makes a damn 3G phone for Cingular.

The E90 is $1000USD...about $300 more I believe than the N95. The lens price is probably pretty insubstantial compared to the costs of the LCD, memory, and chips. More an extra selling point than anything else.

Im waiting for the E90 to come out to make my choice. Other then the camera it has better ram and battery. With all the other stuff like wifi and gps that im looking for either I get the E90 or when it comes out the price of the N95 will have gone done by then

Communicator doesn't suit me. I'm not considring it at all and I find it wayyy too expensive. I also don't like design. Although, I can see why people are all craving over it.

On the other hand, N95 is the dreamphone I've been thinking of for ages! Dual slider is really cool, with dedicated music keys. I just love sliders. 5.1MP Camera that is superior and GPS are nice additions, even more that what I was dreaming of. So, I'd be getting the N95 immediately if I can find enough money by selling my N73ME + own saving.

Also, I wasn't sure for the change to N95 as the MicroSD was maxed at 2GB, unlike the miniSD. Now, however, 4GB microSD was just announced and 4GB miniSD won't be supported by the N73 anytime soon. Now, I'm really craving for the N95.

I find the people who say "bye bye N95" really annoying, XD, probably because I won't be changing my mind. Seriously, people, stop saying you won't buy the N95 because of all those stupid reasons!!!! >.> Switching to the E90 instead is totally valid, but all these I won't buy the N95 messages around without a valid reason is lame!

I was actually kind of impressed by the size. It only seems slightly larger than my E70 (which I'll admit isn't the smallest phone on the market). Maybe not in tight jeans, but its definitely pocketable.

The wider screen will make web browsing much more enjoyable and 16:9 wide-screen movies will actually be watchable on the E90.

QWERTY keyboard you don't have any use for? Cummon, the SU-8W is slick, but its one more thing to lug around and its hardly pocketable.

The pricetag makes it a non-starter for me (same with the N95), but apart from that the E90 is the obvious choice.

-.-" Sorry, my bad. I thought it's 5.1 somehow. Perhaps all those digicams around mainly have 5.1 variations rather than 5.0 that made me confused.
