Nokia E90 To United States?

Do you think that phone will ever come here? and if it doesn't.. can I buy an unlocked version and have everything on the phone work?

Buy it unlocked. It's QuadBand GSM and has WiFi. The 3G won't work here but it has EDGE.

THe phone probably wont be released state side but everything but the 3g capabilities will work on this phone.......well...aside from PTT and video calling. Edge and everything else will work so buying an unlocked version will get you a good phone..

The E-90 will be coming to the USA, but not till Q2-Q3. I don't know if it will be updated for the US makret or not, but you will be able to get it here.

What are the reasons the 3G won't work in the US? Wrong frequency, different standard, ... ?

Wrong frequency — it only has the 2100MHz band.

as opposed to 850/1900 + 1700/2100 (ATT) or 1700/2100 (TMOUSA)(depending on your provider) you'll need (in the future) to use 3G stateside

it essentially means the data is being transmitted the same way (the particular UMTS standard) regardless of the actual frequency its being transmitted over, due to different parts of the world using different frequencies for cellular traffic while maintaining some kind of standard enhancing intercompatiblity

GPS is nont network dependant. It does require a data connection to load maps you havent loaded on your phone yourself. Not sure about t-mo but without an unlimited data plan on cingular that can be mighty expensive. Other than that, it will work without a hitch!
