Cant confirm whether this is legit but by the looks of it I have no reason to believe it isnt. If this is in fact true can you say

GOODBYE N95

Yea I missed the mail & other icons on the left side. I saw them but thought they were status icons rather than listings for the shortcut keys.

Going to S60 3rd Edition is a smart move application wise.

^^can you imagine full screen web browsing on that!! Can you say goodbye 770 and N800 as well. I hope that Nokia gives us some firm stats and release dates on this monster because i'm officially sold and passing on the N95 if this is in fact real and 5-6 months away!!!

EDIT: The inverted Battery Meter sure is peculiar though.

Hmm that resolution sound fairly reasonable for a communicator followup... the 9300/9500's were 640x200 (16:5) and this one at 800x352/700x308 (25:11)... seems about on par for an upgraded pixel depth

Agreed! However, this could be a clever photoshop but if it is, it's a damn fine one. Other than the inverted battery meter, everything makes sense as far as the layout is concerned.

I have always wanted a communicator with ALL the proper US gsm bands/camera (2-3 mp is fine)/VIBRATE (lol).

Have I missed something?

Wi-fi other than the 9500 and 9300i which were both EU Tri band. Their has not been a proper communicator since the 9290. That too was a tri band, but got perfectly fine reception as the dreaded 850 hadnt been in use. This is going to be a good one boys. I think this will become the flagship Nokia. With the boom of personal communicators in NA I think this could be a big step for Nokia here in the states if they market it correctly. I do remember the commercials for the 9300 and thought they were very good. Unfortunately the phone wasnt.

I went to Nokia Chicago today and talked to some of the reps there about it. I showed them this screenshot too. They weren't able to confirm or deny it, of course, but they did say that they had attended a conference not too long ago where they talked about this device with a prototype at the conference. The only things they said were the same as that long post on the previous page. They confirmed that it was thinner than the current communicator series.

after reading this...man i cant wait the camera is a multimegapix, i wonder if it might be the one from the n73! i also wonder how is the video capture gonna be like! I HOPE IT HAS GSM850(do you think so?)! this is what i have been looking for a phone on the out side and a (sort of) laptop on the inside!

the only thing(s) that will stop me from getting this is:
low ram(some thing like this gotta have monster amounts of ram)
no 850(its the next communicator it should have it)
weak battery!

The battery issue scares me too. They can compress the form factor all they want, but a smaller size means a smaller battery. I'd say keep it wide and fit a 1500 mAh battery in this bad boy.

Hmm... for people who are still talking about the screenshot size....

-_-" Seems like not many people read this... Well, I was trying to point out the fact that the 800 x 352 resolution is posted in ring nokia. So, I think the screenshot here was resized.
