which oneis best if imin montrealon rogers wireless network ?

please help me make a choice ...

price is nota matter.... immostly interrested in pictures, txt messaging, and features andnot to forget user friendly ....

You don't have much choice seeing as how the iPhone is currently locked to the AT&T network (unless you want to pay roaming charges).

E90 can send MMS, iPhone can't.

E90 can send SMS to more than one person at a time, iPhone can only send to one at a time.

iPhone has threaded SMS, but that feature can be added to E90 with a 3rd party app.

E90 has a 5MP autofocus camera with flash, iPhone has a 2MP fixed focus camera without flash.

E90 can do video, iPhone can't.

iPhone is arguably more user friendly than any phone out there, but it comes with a price (non-customizable interface).

E90 will cost about $1000 USD, iPhone only $600... but you will also have to pay for a contract and activation fee.

E90 has 3.2mp with AF and Flash, not 5mp.
Btw, There is no real comparison with E90 here. If you want a full fledged communicator with every feature possible, get E90. Iphone doesnt have half the apps E-series fones come with.

is there a S60 v3 app that does threading? I didn't think one had come out yet. Saying it is "possible" is like saying the Iphone can do MMS, multiple SMS, and more once it gets "upgraded" (basically a useless argument until it actually happens).

Like I said before, you can go on and on abt comparing N95 with Iphone, but E90 is not in the same league as either of the two. I'd go for E90 hands down.

I feel that Nokia has some of the worst phone designs on the planet, and the E90 is the flagship of that incompetence. It's a kitchen sink philosophy -- where one attempts to stuff as many raw "features" together without regard to the inevitable trade-offs.

And what on earth is this transformer-like monstrosity known as the E90? It has a a large screen ... on top of a much larger screen. And two keyboards. And it goes from big, to bigger. Genius! Sure, this thing is the size of a brick, has the weight to match, and sucks battery juice like an air conditioner in the Sahara. It's typical Nokia. They can't say no. And how much does this "communicator" cost? I'm tempted here to use that smiley where a jaw drops to the floor, but I've never used a smiley in my life, so I won't start now.

I do agree with iPhone basher jontymisra in one regard. Yes, the E90 is in a different league than the iPhone. It's in a league all its own. And I'm thrilled the iPhone will not be joining that league any time soon.

Yeah..I dont want iphone to join the super league of smartphones where E90 belongs. I just want iphone to stay in the wannabe smartphone league (..lack most basic functions, no add-on apps, no free stuff like ringtones, no support for the most basic standards like java, flash and exchange, no gps, no video rec)

the e90 in not only more interesting in design than the iphone but it also has a better camera 3mp compared to 2mp and the os in my opinion blows mac outta the water. it runs alot smoother than the iphone and has fewer bugs as well.

if i had the choice of even TWO iphones to the e90 id still take the e90.

e90 final.

I love apple products being that I live off of a macbook pro specd out, imac, powerbook g4, multiple ipods and a sticker on my desk
but your comment makes us look like idiot fanboys! You obviously rely on the looks as your primary purchasing decision. I bought my ipod b/c no other player offered 60gigs of storage with my fav music app (itunes). I got the cpu b/c i have been using macs and they, for their time, were/are some of the most powerful computers within their segment. The fact that apple products are beutifully designed is a VERY nice added bonus. However, I find that within the phone market, even though the iphone is gorgeous (yes i have played with it extensively) it is lacking soooo many features that it does not work for me (and im a apple fanboy admitedly). but hey...its mde for the US market! This market does not know what smartphones can really do except hofoers. None the less....the iphone looks great but it cant compete with the e90 at all. as far as features (not just looks- dont be all prissy) the e90 rapes the iphone with a stick of butter. I am buying a iphone used form one of my genius bar buddies... but as a style phone for going out (replace nokia 8801). I still cannot see it as my mobile secratary. the real boys use our phones for makin' money

now go to your mom and ask for some cash so you can buy a case.....dont want to scratch that pretty face on the iphone

Well communicators are after all for very selected people, but theres alot of demand example here in Europe and many of them are loyal cator users that just update it when new comes out. I wouldnt use E90 as the picture of Nokia, nokias strenght after all is its huge variety of phones it makes(it dosent have its market share for no reason).

I dont even bother to say anything about iphone or apple i think everything is said 2x times on that matter

well.. on the "beauty" tip .. other than the 8800 can anyone name a really slick looking nokia?

Other than that, I will wait to see what the tone of the iphone forum is like in about 2 - 3 months when the novelty of the device has worn off and there haven't been any major "updates" to the phone like most people are waiting for.
