nokia e62 umts upgrade?????

ok so i got the blackjack, and personally i dont like it i like the nokia e62 alittle better, i wanted ms office and was told the bj has it when to find out it doesnt, i however read somewhere that the nokea e62 has a firmware or simular upgrade you can do to make it umts to work on 3g(wich isnt avaliable in my area) but i want to use it when it is, pleeeease some insight would be awsome, ps ive searched for the longest time

so far nokia has not released a 3G phone thats usable in the US.

yea, hate to break it to you, but the e62 doesn't have the hardware for umts or hsdpa so no software upgrade is gonna fix that.

Actually the E62 has a UMTS radio but it is on the 2100MHz spectrum rather than the 850/1900MHz spectrum.

I do not know if a firmware update could change that(highly doubt it).

I went from a E62 to a Blackjack, I think the Blackjack beats the E62 in almost every way. Size is much better and it does not feel like a calculator against my head. 3G on the BJ is great. E62 is slow and I did not like the keyboard, I had a much harder time typing on it. E62 is very nicely styled and finished, better than the BJ. I had a hard time selling the E62 even though I would probably never use it. For me, the Blackjack is a great phone, one of the best I have had.

the E61 has UMTS 2100 im not sure that the E62 has the same radio

How do you tell what firmware you have and how do you upgrade? Thanks from a E62 newbie..........
