If you are talking about the yahoo pop question, yes you need pop enabled to use pop yahoo email. However if you use BIS through Tmobile for example, you can get away with that for no charge and also have email reconsiliation as well as the ability to spoof your return email address.

ie: my gmail account is the only account I give out, but I have it forward to my yahoo account, but when I reply from my device it will show my gmail as the return addy and also give me the same option in yahoo.

Yeah, I know a couple of people that use the Tmobile approach and have themselves SMS'ed when email comes in and then uses it to reply as well in some way.
 
One workaround for the number pad/alpha problem: look up what the standard number keys > letters are and make a "note" with it. Whenever you have a phone number with all letters you can open it and do the conversion.

It WOULD be a nice little perk to have a kbd shortcut that displayed a num>keypad "dial pad" or at least one that displayed the numbers with letters equivalents and was mapped to the num keys.
 
if you want to just add an image to the standby screen (wallpaper-style), make it 320 x 198. saves the trouble of making a new theme.

i just faded the top and bottom of my image into color of the upper and lower bars in the theme i was using.
 
Any way to increase the volume on the caller ID voice tags? The phone does seem to say the name of the contact listed but even if I put the phone right up to my head I can barely hear it.

Or perhaps is this feature supposed to be used for headset only?
