Nokia E51 keeps shutting down?

About a year ago I was given a brand new Nokia E51 as a replacement phone. I have now started to use it as my old phone is knackered, but it seems to keep switching itself off. There is no pattern to it switching off. Sometimes it is when I put it in my pocket, but like last night, I put it on my bedside table and this morning it was switched off.

I have looked through the manual, but cannot see what it could be. Can anyone help please?
