Nokia 6682 Firmware/MMC compatibility

I have a Rogers branded Nokia 6682 for which I purchased a 2 GB (Kingston) RS-MMC Dual Voltage memory card. However, the phone fails to recognize the presence of the card (not so with the 64 MB card supplied with the phone by Nokia ). I tried using the Nokia Software Updater to update the firmware on my phone (currently V 4.41.0), but the update utility indicated that my firmware was already up-to-date. Other investigation on the web suggests the most current firmware is V 4.62.0 (possibly 4.65.0), but it is not a Rogers branded firmware release... hence, the failed upgrade attempt. I can get the V 4.62.0 firmware applied to my phone but, before I do, I would like to know if the updated firmware includes fixes that will allow my phone to read the 2GB MMC card.

Has anyone with a 6682 been successful with a 2 GB MMC card. If so, which firmware version do you have (enter *#0000# to display firmware info)? Or, if someone knows of a list of fixes applied by Nokia firmware release, that would be good too. Actually, any info at all would be great!!

Thanks in advance.

After sending the revision information from the back of my MMC card:

Kingston Tech. Support responded by saying there is an issue with that revision of card and Nokia phones. They will be issuing me a replacement card once I call their RMA dept.

Kingston RMA phone number is 800-337-3719. I had a case number to quote from dealing with Tech. Support... not sure it you can deal with them directly without a case number. In any event I'm sure they'll tell you what you have to do.

I have a 6682 Cingular firmware v.65.0. I had no trouble updating the firmware from the Nokia website & it is still Cingular branded.

I have a Kingston 2GB DV MMC I bought of ebay and it works just fine. It is fully recognized.

I did an RMA with Kingston. Frankly, their RMA service was quite amazing. They sent it out two day service, with two days of receiving it. I put it in the phone. 2gb card. I am pretty psyched. I immeditely loaded it up with the ogg player and about 4o albums. We are cooking with gas.
