Nokia 6680 help!

Hello,
My dad is currently on Orange contract and he got a new Nokia 6680 but decided to give it to me... I'm currently on Orange pay as you go. I put in my sim card and it said it was on offline mode and i couldn't make any calls etc... What am i doing wrong? Do i need a different sim card? Any ideas?

Hi Chris,

At this stage the 6680 can only be unlocked by cable, you should go to a good independant mobile shop and ask them to unlock it. The you should be able to use any sim you want, failing this you will need to go get an orange sim your self.

I already have an orange sim at the moment... However i think the sim the phone takes is a newer version to the one i currently have? Could this be correct?

The phone is just in offline mode!, To turn it back on normal, press the power button quickly once, dont turn off the phone! and select general profile!
