nokia 6630: got it from abroad and try making it work in Canada

I have this phone which was bought over seas also but works fine for me. When it was bought, it came with a data cable. You can create mp3 ringtones using Audacity and uploading it to your phone.
 
Need help in opening or cracking a 6630 vodaphone from japan. I cannot use the phone here in the philippines it is locked to vodaphone, i need to open it to make use of opur local phone service provider here. Thanks in advance for the replies.
 
In your case, first you need to make sure you have the right GPRS settings. Second, if your phone is branded, then it could be possible the settings are locked but the phone isn't. I'm not sure since you didn't include much information. If you were more specific, I could help you more.
 
Tantarado, tarantado 'ka ehh? Joke, lang. Anyways, opening the phone will not do anything whatsoever to unlock the phone. The only way to get it unlocked is by calling Vodafone (there are many, I assume Vodafone UK) and getting the code. BB5 platform phones (such as the 6630) are not unlockable yet by consumers. I saw many "WE CAN UNLOCK 6630/6680/6681" in the Philippines, and as far as I know, it isn't possible.
