Nokia 6300 vs. W880i

I would go for the W880i. I'm not a SE fanboy(using N80 right now, haven't had a SE for years). It's obvious you are probaby aiming for a slim music phone. The W880I has longer battery life, more focused on music, slimmer, lighter, better colors and so on. Im thinking of getting it soon as well.
i'm gonna have to go with 6300...
- its quadband
- its aimed toward business users to its not supposed to be flashy... very subtle
- i dont' like how they downgraded the W880 camera vs. W810 *focal length on w880 is shorter.*
- i think W880 is overpriced... i dont' see the big gimmic for walkman 2.0
- build quality for 6300 is quite good... i dont' know how it compares to the W880 though

I bought a 6300, but the w880i is a much better choice if you have the budget. The screen is so crisp on the w880 that you can't even explain it with words. The w880i is thinner by far and build quality is superb. The only thing that the 6300 has over the w880 is the speaker. Ringtones are just too rich on the 6300 and is light years ahead of the w880.

Did you just say the w880i 262k tft is BETTER than the 6300's 16 Million color screen?
You CANNOT see individual pixels on a 6300. You can on a w880.
Moving on, the build quality of the 6300 is just fine. No moving parts. Everything locks into place. The metal feels great. The w880 has very good build quality also is couple of mm thinner but the 6300 offers more for a lesser price.
Overall I'd say, if music is your priority, get the w880 because of the walkman software. If not get the 6300.
PS: The w880 doesn't have FM radio.

Hey don't hate, I got myself a 6300 also, but I have to admit that the W880 has a screen that has better output regardless of the specs.
Theoretical vs. Practical differences.
Go get a QVGA image. Load it on both phones and see the difference and tell me that the 6300 has a better screen, lol. You will definitely tell that the W880i is better.

I have owned both phones and I think both phones have there pros and cons. Personally being on Fido i think the triband on the 6300 is stronger then the triband on the w880 as well a slightly better battery life.
The w880 has a better 2mp camera and with the walkman 2.0 the music interface is a lot better. But overall both are great, it just comes down to personal choice of looks and your need for music and such. For the money the 6300 is one of the best phones for the dollar.

The reason behind the 6300's average battery life is the screen. The better the screen the lower the battery life. Compare both side by side. I did before the bought the 6300.
Anyway, i'm not going to argue further on this. People who've used/seen both phones and aren't blind will agree with me.

All the phones that I currently own are QVGA. I am able to tell you first hand about screen quality. I am not spreading false information.
Do you own a W880? Go grab one and compare for yourself. I don't know how you compared it in the beginning. You said you compared both before purchasing? Were you looking at the same picture on both phones?
Maybe the person that was selling you the W880 had a faulty one. Maybe your eyes were playing tricks on you so that you wouldn't dish out the extra $$ for the W880, lol.
Since you don't have a W880 on hand, would you like me to compare? I have a 6300 and W880 on hand as well as an N95 that boasts the 16M, but no need to branch off onto the N95, since this thread's main purpose was the compare the 6300 and W880.
Why not send me QVGA wallpaper of your liking and I will take screen shots with a project-a-phone?? I have a project-a-phone also.
Don't get me wrong man, I love my 6300 because it's a lot more practical, looks stylish, better bang for buck, small form factor..... but I still have to say that the W880 can display better.
