thanks

What's the size of the program?
I found 3 of them on torrents...
6.5mb
35mb
23.7mb

I'm downloading all 3.
And what do I do after I download them?
How do I install it?
What do I open with?

Thanks for any help you guys can give!

k nvm. i have the program again now. but when i plug my usb thing in it says no dongle. and i dotn knwo how to fix that. i dont knwo what they mean by driver. casue i have no driver programs in there from my phone cause it came wiht no cd's or anything. the only driver i found in my programs was an FLS-4 driver program. but i ahve no clue where that came from. i dont think it has anythign to do with it.

true , tell me how it goes nd some better details on these torrents cuz i wanna do this too i wanna use them as ringtones

So eh...I fanally got a miniSD card. With couple option changes in Diego I got all the java applications running perfectly. I will try to post the solution later.

Cheers!

As far as I know you would need the USB cable from TELUS. Both TELUS Mobility and the authorized retailers should either be able to sell you the cable or order it for you.

Telus Mobility Dealers in Calgary & Area, Alberta | CompareCellular.com

This link will give you a list to dealers in Calgary that carry TELUS products. Has phone numbers and such to be able to contact them. Good luck and happy modding.

is it possible to CONVERT the mp3 into a different format such as a ringtone format so that the phone "thinks" it is a telus ringtone

He was trying that but the phone still wasnt seeing the card. So i told him to try and format it with his phone.

---- Im looking for what that error message means.

before you go and get another one. Try formating it on the actual phone it self. =]

You got to go for .jar. Generally the games which are running on new generation Nokia phones will work on 6265i. It will just tell you something like "application error" if the game is not supported. I went through a lot of them which were not working, but was able to get a lot which do work perfectly. Taking they are free for you it is worth the time cheking them;)

Cheers!

hey everyone i tried that xillisoft thing and it worked..but the quality isnt exactly great..anyone know how to improve the quality and sound?

I don't think you can use Diego with bluetooth. Can not give you exact guarantee (maybe there is some setting change in Diego which will allow it), but I was not able to connect it via bluetooth.

You nee a cable that connecy your phone with pc. than open diego and change the setting. Make sure diego recognises your phone.

Ok.....so I got it to work on my 6265i. Basically what you do is download Diego (make sure it is the version above or 3.06, since older versions are not recognizing 6265i;) ). I found it on isohunt.com, but I am pretty sure thare are other places to find it. (btw...limewire was a dissapointment:( )

So let's get to the business. First of all don't go and try everything which you about to read before reading "IMPORTANT" part at the end...you might not want to proceed after. So here we go....I used USB (eBay $10 tops) which came with drivers and PcSuite program. If you installed the drivers before Diego, then you in for a surprise...Diego will not install. What you have to do is uninstall those drivers from a CD before Diego instalation. PcSuite seems to not interupt with Diego at all, and using the same drivers, so you can play around with a lot of midi, or mp3's now;). Once all the installing is done, conect your phone and make sure that Diego is interacting with it (you'll see it in the lower left corner if it does or not). Now for the juicy stuff..... Select "Phone Settings" on the left and read data from phone. You'll see a big tree of the DataFile system on your phone. It is prolly a good idea to save it to file on your hard and play with it from there (just a hint;) )So now you have to find "Ringtone Settings", it should be under 'PRI ID Settings-->Generic Features-->General Menu & User Settings-->Operator Menu' (at least it was there on mine. Select it and in the right half-window you'll see something like that: Set as a Ringtone Menu Options Option 2 - Included only for copy........ (you'll read it when you see it, I'm not gonna spoil all the fun;)). Simply click on "Option 2" and change it to "Option 0".......write it all back on the phone, and you are done!!!!

IMPORTANT:
1. As mentioned before in this thread....don't you do anything illegal:D
2. Use the above instructions on you own risk, I am not responcible for 'dead' cellphones (and this baby is quite expencive...so.....it is up for you to decide)
3. You should know that it scared a **** out of me when I wrote it all back on the phone, and my brand new beautifull Nokia went blank with "Local Mode" written on the screen and no responce for buttons:ah: ......so i did what every guy who has no clue on what is going on would do: took the battery out:D . good ol battery remove/reset saved me in alot of tough situations with my old junky Audivox. So anyway my 6265i rebooted just fine with no apparent loss of data and was playing my Tiesto ringtone which I got off my buddies cell via bluetooth, plus I tried uploading one mp3 and one midi from my hard and they too worked perfectly.
4. If you have a courage to try it on your own be my guest, but I will not be able to help if something goes wrong, since I did it by reading Diego's tutorial and performing some 'scientific guessing'

So there you have it.
Hope it helps.
Cheers and good luck!

As afar as I know, we are not voiding the warranty for the phones. We have not modified any programming. We are using official tools to change a setting inside the programming. I had talked to a technician to do this, and nothing was mentioned about warranty voiding. Again, just a setting change. Besides, if you save your original configuration to your phone (Save to a .pri file) you can recover the phone from said file. I have saved at every change that I have made (which is now 3) and I have 3 .pri files for every step. If something doesn't work, roll back to original and take the phone into the dealer. If someone knows of a TELUS Mobility dealer, have a conversation with them. I'm thinking that this a "grey area" in their warranty.

I do have a screenshot for that one. send me an email and i'll send it to you

I will also be posting a Torrent for Diego 3.07 in the next few days. Just have to find the time. As soon as I post the torrent, I'll post the link to it.
