I just purchased a Nokia 6102 from Cingular. I am wanting to use the data cable option to upload my pics to my computer and download ringtones and wallpapers to my phone. Is this possible with the data cable? Please tell me what I need to do this..(software, which type of cable to purchase). Also, will Cingular charge me for the internet access? I do not want to use my phone as a modem, just to transfer files. Thank you! :)

What's up. on my 6101, which Is the same as yours except for tmobile I think, I use a DKU-5 cable that I bouht off of ebay for about 10bucks total. IT came with all the software necessary. You're not charged for moving stuff from your pc to your phone. Hope this helps!

God bless,
Jason

okay what you need to do is to some search engine online. And download Nokia PC Suite and follow the tutorial. Make sure you download the right one for your phone just type in Nokia Pc Suite for 6102. I hope this helps you cause it helped me i have a nokia 6015i and CA-42 and a DKU-5 data cable.

since the phone has infrared, get an irda adapter. check ebay there same price as a cable with less connection problems

by looking under my name and clicking on the one that looks kinda like a snow flake

I have a new Nokia 6102, and I have a data cable with the Nokia Suite. How can I use this phone as a modem with my Laptop? I did not see any options for connection in the Nokia Suite.

I got a cheap one at radioshack. The sales dude helped me find the right one easily.
