Nokia 3500 classic problem, please help?

I just got my phone from the service back because it had a software problem, so I turn it on and it is VERY bright and the icons are kind of blurry and when I click something it isn't slow but kind of late with frames?? What do I do? I don't want to service it again so is there something I can do by myself? Thanks
