Noise in my 2008 Ford Explorer?

When my 2008 Ford Explorer is in park and I get in and start it when I push in the brake pedal it makes a loud click noise under the gear shifter on the bottom right. It does this only when it's in park and every time I hit the brake pedal. What could it be?
 
Its releasing a switch for the car to come out of park. You can't move the gear lever without stepping on the brake. Mine went bad on my 2008 explorer and had to be replaced. If its louder then it should be you might want to get it looked at.
