No Voice Mail?

Here's one for the "experts."

I'm thinking of adding a Cricket phone for the unlimited minutes -- tired of saying, "Call me after 9 p.m" and paying extra $$$ some months The problem is, I DO NOT want voice mail (long story, but VM is often a timewaster, and I have VM elsewhere). Cricket's "best value" plan bundles voicemail, and adding Caller ID and Call Waiting to other plans also adRAB VM. Retail employee says there's no way to "disable" VM.

Is there a way a customer or Cricket CS can disable VM, so the phone just rings until it's answered?

If not, can the "ring time" be increased to a minute?

Thanks!

there is no way to change the ring time out. but....
cricket vm boxes are limited to 10 messages. fill it up and change your out going to say call back blah blah

True, the lower plans don't include VM, but they also don't include Call Waiting and CAller ID, 2 services I need. I guess I have to have Voice Mail. I'll just intro the greeting with something sarcastic telling callers I don't listen to or respond to Voice Mail. :silly:

You can get the lowest plan($30),then add the txt messaging, long distances, and the rest for $5 each.I am seriously thinking about getting Cricket as well because I would love to have a low priced bill. But I dont like the cricket phones for various reasons: 1.The phones are ugly 2.The phones dont have good enough features 3.They dont have alot of choices of phones 4.The prices are outrageous 5.Everybody that has Cricket service which is more than half of Nashville has the best phone

when charge $45 a month for unlimited everything with no contract or credit deposit you cannot subsidize phone prices. plus remeraber that first month and activation are included ($45+15) so that's like $60 on the price of the phone. or if you don't like the phones cricket sells you can activate a non-cricket cdma phone that has been flashed to work with cricket.
