NO SPOILERS!!!-the next BATMAN after TDK which villian??

I know a few people have suggested that Coleman Reese (Misterees) would become the riddler in the next batman film, surely this couldnt work because one of the main things with the riddler is that hes always trying to solve the riddle of who is batman, coleman reese knows who batman is.

Im sure there is no truth to this, Nolan wouldnt say anything about a 3rd film anyway untill its officially announced, thats just how it is. Like someone said a 3rd film will most likely be made Nolan or no Nolan. But I hope this doesnt happen because that would mean no Bale as well.

Doubt it. Anyone who knows their Batman knows the Riddler's true identity is Edward Nygma (Mr. E Nigma). They might be re-inventing Batman in these films, but Idoubt they would make the Riddler a different person to his comic book persona.

I remember Bale saying somthing along the lines of as long as Nolan carries on he would too (I think).

I would provide a Link for it but I really can't remember where I read it, sorry:o.

Saying that Bale never actually said he WOULDN'T do it if Nolan wasn't involved if I remember correctly though. In fact the only time we SHOULD be really worried is if Robin gets announced, that's when he won't do it anymore:p:D(again I would provide a Link but I can't find it, once again sorry:o)!

As for that 3rd Film/Nolan News well the NOTW is the last piece of trash I'd believe so until I hear/read from somthing more reliable; I personally would take what they say with a pinch of salt:).

Although Christopher Nolan has stated that he is NOT interested in introducing the Penguin, I personally think he would fit into the current arc perfectly. A "gentleman of crime" gangster who could take control of Gotham's gangs. More like the character portrayed in the original comic books rather than Tim Burton's vision in Batman Returns.

No speculation is fun. Isn't that one of the main driving forces of RAB? And the title of the thread gives a big clue as to the nature of the discussion.

I would like to see Catwoman. I disagree that she wouldn't fit into Nolan's world. She is one of the easiest to adapt. Ignore the whole 'brought back to life by cats' idea, because that was Burton and co's invention. Catwoman in the comics is basically just a very skilled catburgular who has a long-running lust/hate relationship with Batman. And her alter ego Selina Kyle = instant love interest for Bruce Wayne.

Obviously she couldn't be the main villain, for starters because she's not really a villain, more of a anti-heroine and she doesn't pose much of a threat. So I'd like to see Two Face back. The Riddler could be interesting. Although if he leaves riddles that needed to be solved otherwise things would get blown up, etc. it would be too much like the plot of TDK. Some reinvention would also need to be done because in the comics he's usually not taken very seriously as a villain. And if you had him and Two Face together, it's like Batman Forever all over again. Although much better, probably.

Who knows, The Scarecrow could pop up again. That would be quite funny. And then there's Ra's. We never actually saw him die remember. Although I doubt they'll go down that route. I also think they want to tackle at least 1 more villain that hasn't been seen in a film before so...hmmm.

i think you are getting the wrong end of the stick, im saying it couldnt work. i agree with you they should stay true to the comic books like they have (mostly) so far.

Here is how I see catwoman if they bring her in

Long black hair, naturally or possibly enhanced green eyes, loaRAB of tattos, rock chick sense of style with lots of black lace and leather and leather gloves with massive metal claws.

basically a cross between amy winehouse and freddie kruger lol

Of course it'll be better! Aaron Eckhart's Two-Face brought Tommy Lee Jone's Two-Face to shame IMO! One of the reasons why I'm not too fond of "Batman Forever" is because they got Two-Face completely wrong, that just wasn't him at all! He's supposed to be a really tragic Character NOT a crazy 1-Dimensional Cartoon for goodness sakes:mad::rolleyes:! Really am sorry "Batman Forever" Fans:(and honestly I don't hate it THAT much, I just really didn't like how they handled Two-Face in that Film:(. Thank God for "The Dark Knight"! They truely did get Two-Face right IMO.

Oh God crazy Fangirl in me getting angry:eek:better stop now:o!

(And breathes)

Sorry guys, had to get that off my chest:o. Anyway back on Topic:).

I do agree with your Post SteveOwen, as well as wanting Two-Face to come back I too am really hoping Catwoman makes an appearance and if The Riddler is handled correctly then I'd like him to appear too:).

I have to say I think Chris Nolan is being a bit too harsh on the Penguin though. I admit he's not my favorite "Batman" Villian (that crown(s) goes to both The Joker and Two-Face respectively IMO) but he certainly is quite a decent Villian and not rubbish at all IMO. I hope Chris Nolan does change his mind evantually but I doubt it:(.

Lol...

Also, apparently Angelina Jolie is interested in playing Catwoman.

^ God no. That would be the most obvious casting ever. It all just looks like fantasy casting at the moment though.[/QUOTE]

Totally. So many names get thrown into the mix. Even duringthe Burton/Schumacher films there were all sorts of names including Madonna as 'Lady Joker', which I assume meant Harley Quinn. And none of those happened.
