No sound out of front speakers? Dodge Ram 02?

I just purchased an 02 dodge ram 1500. When I turn the radio on the rear speakers play music but no sound comes out of the front speakers. Then after playing for about 5 sec the radio shuts the music off. I have another 1500 ram and tried its radio in my new one and still have the problem so I know its not the truck. What should I check in this truck?
 
make sure the divider switch is set to play on the front speakers and if that's set right check the wiring connector on back of the radio, if it its good and tight ,you need to replace the radio,they was bad to go out and only play on the back or front speakers,you may also have two bad speakers for the front part of it,good luck with it.
