no setanta programming - again!

I'm getting a bit fed up with BEV. Again, the Setanta schedule on the program guide has not been updated and is the same as last week. What gives? Seems no problem to update the other channels. I reckon they just are not doing it, which is poor consideration of people paying for the channel.

I doubt this is directly a Bev issue. I believe they simply purchase the information from a 3rd party and stream whatever comes down the pipe to them.

Having said that, I would call and complain so that they in turn can put pressure on whoever they get the info from........
 
Best Bet for Setanta is go to setanta.com and click on Canadian TV Schedule, usually gives listings for whole week and they are accurate.

The guide data for all BDU's is provided by third parties whcih aggregate it from the stations themselves.

The folks you should be angry at is Setanta

I have American friends who have dishnetwork, and I asked them to check the listings for a show for the Mrs (The Hills) We get it on Bell
Always on Bell there is the same general description with the original air date listed as N/A
What this means, is EVERY fricken Hills show is recorded, just in case she misses an episode
I have also noticed ( I havent checked recently, but will check again) that Judge Judy has the 2 show descriptions mixed up (The first show has the description of the 2nd show, and vice versa)
I didn't ask the friend to check on this one too, because I was afraid he would laugh at me for checking these shows, but I can do it here with no worries because I cant hear the laughing/snickering
 
Just to be fair to BEV, I think this is a general guide problem in Canada. It used to be similar when I had Look TV a gajillion years ago, it was similar with Videotron illico and it's similar with my Starchoice today - for some programs, the guide info is absolutely useless.

Specific example - I was playing with my new HD and saw Question Period listed - the guide info was "Legislators answer viewers questions" - :o

I think I heard somewhere here that Starchoice is changing guide providers or something, so it might improve, and if they do I wouldn't be surprised to see BEV do the same.
 
When we had the info about the channel it clealy stated that there woudn't be programming on 24/7... As for the guide issue...you will have to call in, I'm no longer there, therefore not aware of what's going on
