Its a CX hatch. I just bought a used cd player and it worked fine when I got it. After fidgeting around with it to get it into the deck, all of a sudden the cd player turned off and I noticed the clock in the car reset to 1 o clock? Any help???? I don't think it's the fuses.
Also, I plugged my previous stereo back into the deck and it also didn't work so it's for sure not the stereo that is the problem.

Sounds like your car battery, or cables are bad. That is why the clock reset. Check your cd player for power, you can get cheap 12 volt testers for under $10 if you do not have one. They are a probe hooked to light with a free wire. It does not matter which way it is hooked up. Just hook the probe wire to a metal frame part of the car. And then hit the positive wire with the probe. If you have power the light will light up.

Also there may be a bad ground too. Most cars are negatively grounded. The whole car metal carries a negative connection back to the battery. So there is negative wire hooked to the devices (radio, cd player etc.). Most radios are securly hooked or bolted into the metal making a good ground. Fidgeting may make a bad ground and no negative return to the the battery.
