Hello everyone,

I am new to this site and am in need of some serious help. I have been trying to help my uncle with resetting his reciever, since BEV sent him a new one and has it set on "Remote Address 2" while everything else is set on 1. This wouldn't be such a big issure, but he does not have his origianl remote so we cannot change anything that way. We have phoned BEV and they just gave us the run around, so I am hoping someone here has some info on this.

reciever - 6000c
harmony remote - 688

Thank You very Much.

go into the system info screen
then, hold the SAT button for 4-5 seconds, until it is flashing
press the #2
then the # button
then record
that will change the new remote address to "remote address 2"
or try HDTV's suggestion

Use the "Clear NVRAM" procedure here, It will set almost all the receiver settings back to defaults and the receiver remote address back to 1.

Thank you Robert, but I tried the menu 6 one and after I get to the diagnostic screen I push info and nothing happens, I have tried holding it, pushing it repeatedly. Am I doing this wrong?

The screen saying RAM is cleared does not pop up on the 9200. At the end, try holding down the power button on the receiver for about 5 seconds. The receiver should reboot and NVRAM should be cleared after.

The harmony web site already has all the EV/Dish remote addresses (from 1 to 15) in the database. There is no need the teach the Harmony anything.
