No new "Family Guy" tonight

I checked the listings and found out that instead of airing "The Hand that Rocks the Wheelchair," they're repeating "Brian Writes a Bestseller." I was also thinking that the wheelchair episode was actually supposed to air last week. I'm not sure why they keep pushing it back. Is there something about this ep that's preventing it from being aired? I'm curious about that.

If there's one problem that Family Guy still has, it's the scheduling for new episodes (although I know this is mostly FOX's fault). This doesn't help.

Realy? Really?? Three new episodes in a row is actually too much to ask?

So what's tonight's schedule look like? New episodes of everything except Family Guy? I'm really sick of FOX's moronic scheduling of this show.

I am glad there is no new episode tonight, because now I can watch the AFC Championship game without having to mis Family Guy.

I agree. If the football game doesn't stop the network from airing new eps of anything else, then they shouldn't have done it with FG. Besides, like I said before this is the second week they postponed the wheelchair episode. I don't know if that one is going to end up being unaired or what the deal is with that. Cartoon Network has done the same thing with "Scooby Doo: Mystery, Inc." Seems like a lot of networks are having the same problem with scheduling for some reason or other.

Two possible scenarios as to why the new episode that was to air tonight got delayed:

1. It contains a "too soon" moment, resulting in the episode's delay (an example of what I mean was Brian's Got a Brand New Bag, which was pushed back a few weeks due to the first act being about Peter being into the film Roadhouse, which have have been "too soon" to show following the death of Patrick Swayze).

2. Given how this is a Meg episode (put down that remote :D ), Fox may be holding back this episode until next month just in case Mila Kunis (Meg's voice actress) does end up getting nominated for an Oscar this Tuesday for her performance in Black Swan.

Ugh, again?!

So we have to wait until February again? That scheduling department is bad with Family Guy, yet we get cruddy new Simpsons and Bob's Burgers?

Lame.

FOX knows this is their most popular Sunday night show and people will come back to watch it no matter how long they're made to wait for it. They've been doing this since season 6. Just because I'm used to this doesn't mean I'm no less aggravated.

I'm pretty sure when you're a celebrity, and you're voicing a character in a FOX show, it doesn't matter.

So no, that doesn't seem the case.

Wow that episode gets even worse the second time you see it, Brian really annoys me. But yeah it's really strange that this is the only show that doesn't have a new episode tonight.

They actually address this at the end of "It's a Trap!" surprisingly. Chris mentions how there's (inexplicably) only "ten episodes a year". So it's not as if they're not aware of it.

It's FOX scheduling. They know they've already lost the night because of AFC, so why waste their shining star, Family Guy on it? Burn off the rest, but at least a possible goldmine in a new FG ep won't be wasted.
