No more Hermione?

Emma Watson has hinted that she may not take part in the final two Harry Potter movies.

The 16-year-old is currently filming the fifth film in the series, but has admitted that the timescale involved may lead to her having to forgo the final parts.

The actress, who will turn 20 before the seventh film is completed, may not make the commitment to see the franchise through.

She said: "I don't know yet. Every film is so huge and it's a long time. I love to perform but there are many other things I love doing."

That is from rabroad.

I am outraged. She has to do the last two, she is an idiot if she doesn't think she can have a career post Harry Potter.

If they changed any of the three leaRAB it would be so nonsensical. I am angry!

I think you need to calm down. She is a teenaged girl with a lot of money. She can do whatever she pleases. She was what, 13 when she started? Why should she not be able to decide that she doesn't want to be an actress?

To be honest I think she's the easiest of the 3 to replace. Daniel and Rupert are very distinctly their characters and it would be hard to see someone else in their place. Emma doesn't seem to have defined hers as much. If one of the 3 of them has to go I'd rather it be her.

Relax Mr L. There's as much chance as Emma Watson quitting HP as there is Robbie Williams quitting pop. She probably meant it when she said it, but when it comes to putting pen to paper I very much doubt she'll turn it down.

At the end of the day she's a teenager a very wealthy one at that. She wants to go out and do what other teens' such as go to college/university (she's extremely bright you lady). Sure she's Hermione but at times she's a very wooden actress and would be easier to replace than either Daniel or Rupert.
Its an unfortunate fact of life kiRAB grow up and want to try other things let her be because no matter how outraged the fans get its up to her in the end and well I'm sure that the dirty great paycheck she'll get for the last two movies will persued her to put off University for a couple of years.

There was always a chance that the 3 main actors actresses wouldnt see this franchise through because of ages and them looking to old to play there characters id preferf all 3 to stay but can see all 3 changing

I'd have to agree, although it'd be disappointing she's probably the easiest of the 3 to replace. If Daniel was saying the same thing there'd be cause for concern as he just *is* Harry and it just wouldn't be right. But she is, and to a small extent Rupert, not completely indespensible.

I think and hope she stays on, very few actresses would be able to pick up where Emily has left off. I also see her being really huge after Harry Potter once she's in her mid twenties, all sorts of roles and no worry of being typecast. :)

I think it wouldn't be the same without Emma in the part, its been 4/5 films now with those 3 and now to suddenly have a new face as Hermione - the chemistry wouldn't be the same especially between Ron & Hermione.

Chemistry? Emma Watson is so wooden, in the last 2 films particularly she has really been left behind by the 2 boys. I think this is the reason why she hasn't done anything else, her acting is of the same calibre as that in a school play.

You could replace her with a fence post and not notice the difference.

And I would certainly agree with you. I think Watson and Grint are better actors than Radcliffe, who really can't act for toffee. Bless him, he does try, but he fails, badly. He's ruined the franchise for me, because they couldn't be bothered to find a competent actor to play the lead role.

If any of them had to leave, I'd rather it was he. I wouldn't miss him.

I'd disagree with you, Watson was great for the first three films but unfortunately completely overacted in the fourth movie, and ruined it for me.

Radcliffe was rubbish in the first two but has improved over the years and, i'll never say he's a great actor, but he was the perfect Harry in Goblet of Fire.

I don't want any to leave, it'd ruin the consistency of the films.

I doubt that she will quit- she has said that she wouldnt like to see anyone else play Hermione, and imagine the amount of letters, people wouldn't leave her alone if she didn't do it!!!
I really hope she will carry on and i think she will!!

I'm one of the people who doesn't want anyone replaced. In 5 years time I want to sit down to watch them back to back and laugh at how young they looked in the first film compared to the last. :)

The only one out of the trio with real acting ability is Rupert Grint, but Dan Radcliffe seems to have grown into the part and improved greatly in the GOF. I really like Hermiones character in the books but cringe everytime I watch the movies.
