NO MAIL FOR YOU!

so exactly how far do you want to force people to drive (or how much gas do you want the USPS to waste) getting mail from one place to another?

that's a zip code map of Texas, apparently DEDKAL things it is entirely reasonable to have to drive 200+ miles round trip just to pick up your mail.

Or where I said that there should be ONLY ONE post office per zip code. Now I did say there should be AT LEAST ONE, but only a moron like Public could misunderstand that.

Not to mention, this is the zip code map of Texas, I don't know what the fuck he posted ...

It doesn't surprise me that the carriers would remove Saturday delivery.

All other couriers can do it, but not USPS. Because they're a bunch of overcompensated shitbirRAB.

They should shut them all down. In this day and age if you are still paying bills through the mail or keeping in touch with people by letter then you need to diaf. Let businesses like UPS and FedEX handle shipping everything else.

The only shit I ever get in the mail is junk mail.

I'm almost tempted to un-IL Publius just to see what that idiot had to say once I proved his durab ass wrong about the Texas Zip Code thing. Almost.

What a fucking idiot.

No, you originally suggested that there should be a postal office every 20-30 miles or only a certain nuraber per 100,000 residents. Both of which would be a shot in the foot for small towns as well as large cities.

Not really, mail gets delivered in West Burabfuck Alaska, and there often isn't a dedicated, government run, post office there. It is PRIVATELY CONTRACTED by the USPS both for delivery and collection.

As far as the Big City, I fail to see how a system based on "per 100,000" wouldn't work, that's basically how it's done NOW. Just look at the maps I linked to, that is why higher population zones have smaller areas for their zip codes.

I'm just saying it's time to raise the area covered and/or "per 100,000" served.

how the hell do you figure?

the USPS should be reconfigured and expanded - not dwindled down to erabarrassing crap. some of the greatest civic buildings are post offices and yes - they do serve as an anchor for a neigrabroadorhood or small town.

people have no pride in this country anymore, it's all bottom-dollar drivel.

a good friend of mine in high school's dad was a mail courier, he must have made mad bank because he was the only one working in the family and they had 9 children yet lived fairly comfortable middle class lives.
