No love for the M109R?

If the headlight is the only thing keeping you from buying this bike you should probably buy something else. The nacelle actually blocks alot of wind and acts as a small fairing. I still wear a full face, but the buffering is minimal.

Lol, sounds like me...bought an M50, then an S50 (for her), then my M109....if I buy anything else I'll be single too....hmmm, maybe we can split the rent on a bachelor pad, lol...:lol4:

Was at the dealer today buying pipes when I came across the M109. I told him I didn't really care for the headlight and I wanted more of a touring bike with bags and floorboards. He told me they will have that with the C109 that will come out next year. I looked it up on Google and sure enough he was right. The headlight looks JUST like the C50 and C90 editions. I was going to buy the 90 but after seeing that, my next bike will be the C109T in 08. It looks just like the C90 only bigger.

I took an M109 out for a test ride the day it hit the showroom floor. It was a very nice bike with plenty of power. The only problem I had was the position of the pegs. I am 5'05" and I had to ride with my legs stretched all of the way forward to rest them on the pegs. I still had a blast riding the thing but I could't see it as a comfortable ride for me in the long run. If it wasn't for this, I would have seriously considered trading my M50 in for an M109r.

It's been a while since I've ridden one. There might have been a fix by now.

Davy, the C109 should be out this year (2007). I'd look for it near the end of June/early July. That's what an article on motorcyclecruiser.com stated a few months back. They're on schedule so far, with the LE 109 coming out just in the past week or two.

That's good to hear they are coming out with it so soon. Buuuut on the other hand my plans just changed because my wife was in a pretty bad car accident and funds have gone elsewhere. I'm thinking that may be more of my dream bike that I'll buy when I have the house paid off in a few years. But that's not going to stop me from reading up on it and checking it out every second at the dealership. Right?!!! He he.

Just spoke with a guy here in New Orleans who had one. He went for a ride and opened it up. He said when he looked down he was going 145. Took it home and put a for sale sign on it, it scared him that much.
