Alright, this has been going on for too long, and I'm almost at my breaking point. I'm not sure how much ANY of this has to do with what's happening. All I know is that all this stuff is happening to me, and it's absolutely nightmarish.
February 6th this year, I had a Panic Attack for the first time. Not a good feeling. In fact, I was hospitalized for a bit. Fun stuff, but almost completely unrelated.
After the panic attack, I became extremely withdrawn. I spent most of my time inside - Particularly in my unfinished basement, just playing video games and sleeping. I literally gave up going to school because of such an intense lack of motivation. I also noticed my neck kind of getting stiff and sore. I dismissed it as being from looking at a screen all day - Which it probably was/is.
After a couple weeks, I became violently ill. My throat was so sore, that the only thing I could even eat was Freezies and Popsicles. It felt like my throat was constricting. My lymph nodes were also all inflamed. I assumed it was allergies to being in my dusty basement, and then took my withdrawn shenanigans elsewhere.
Even though I got better, I never really GOT BETTER. My throat still felt "full" and constricted. It's almost like someone is pushing against it with their palm. At its best, I barely notice it; at it's worst, I can barely breathe, and I feel horrible. I also would get occasional stomach aches that were the worst I've felt in my life. My throat is also really red and looks almost "vein-y."
A few months back, I had my second "Panic Attack." Except this one wasn't so much a "Panic Attack" as "I feel an intense pain in my neck and head, then faint" Attack. I passed out, and people around me said I was turning blue. I also banged my head pretty bad, and cut up my eyebrow (anyone know any nice scar removal items? =/).
Today, I still have the throat discomfort. My neck still feels stiff. I still get occasional stomach and headaches. I've also - unrelated, of course - noticed small, white, freckle-like spots on my shoulders. I've also had lots of joint pain (and in a few instances, odd tingling) in my hands - Something that absolutely terrifies me, being a guitarist and aspiring musician.
Things also feel really distant to me... like I'm there, but not really THERE.
Again, all of this is on and off. Some days are way worse than others.
I've been to the doctor twice for all of this. The first time, she suggested that it was an Anxiety problem, and that I should talk to a counselor. She also sent me to get blood tests, urine tests, and an electro-cardiogram. After returning and telling her that I needed physical relief, she suggested that maybe it was allergies (to take antihistamines daily - which didn't help) or maybe it was heartburn or GERD.
I've looked into anxiety (which I have now for sure - but probably as a RESULT of feeling so terrible, rather than causing it), GERD, Esophogal spasms, spinal problems, neck problems, thyroid problems, some weird brain dysfunction, cancer, epilepsy, high or low blood pressure, some weird fungal problems, tonsillitis (when it was at its worst), and many others.
I'm becoming a terrible hypochondriac because of this: Because I'm feeling SO MANY symptoms at once, I can't help but feel like I have some horrid disease.
I'm not sure what you'll be able to make of this, if anything. I just need to vent this all to someone before I, once again, try and fall asleep wishing all this would go away for good.
