No one is going to get out of this world alive.Make the most of your time here,
by helping others who are suffering from all sorts of loneliness, depression, blindless,
vertigo, dizzy spells, and other maladies.ThousanRAB of our beautiful soldiers and marines from the war,are in need of a loving hand, and a note of appreciation.
Helping others helps me to get my little mind off my problems.A book that I read to improve my self-esteem,is by Marshall Rosenberg. This is my second bible,if you will. My best to you, to have peace of mind. Bill

Sentience is often refered to as a gift wrapped in a curse, the knowledge that we're all going to die one day is pretty scary.

I guess if it really is getting to you talk to a psychologist, fear of death is extremely common (infact I'd place a wager for you to find someone who truely isn't afraid of death).

I used to really worry about death when I was younger, both losing I love and myself. One day it just went away, I think everyone clicks at one point and simply accepts their own mortality.

Did you do anything specific to help it go away??

(thank you to all for their replies, please keep them coming!)

There are plenty of things to help... psychiatrists, psychologists, antidepressants, benzo's, CBT, therapy, books, support groups :)

Just remeraber, every single person on this entire planet is aging, you, me, Obama, Jonny Depp. That's part of life.

I must admit, I don't think anyone ever really worries about dying in itself, I think it's just our instinct of self-preservation getting out of control.

If you're not interested in Psychologists etc, maybe try a religion? I'm an atheist, but in some ways I envy Christians, Muslims etc, actually believing that death isn't the end would be very reasuring. Maybe look into a religion that suits you? Having faith that you're going to heaven or coming back in another life seems to help *alot* of people.
