I live with my grandmother and the past 5 years I've been here the heater in the living room, where I sleep, is broken. The heat works in her room. I've slept with a coat on some winter nights. I've become so tollerable to the cold weather that I can barely handle summer without the air conditioner on (which she woke me up to shut off at 5am which is why I am up writing this). According the the law as far as I know she cannot throw me out because I have been here for more than 6 months. But, she threatens to if I don't shut the air conditioner off. Aside that being irritating, what can I do about her not fixing the heat in my room during the winter? I get sick every summer and every winter since I have been living here. No comments about moving out please. That is not an option at the moment.
No heat in winter for the past 5 years?!?
