You have to pay the Dr at the visit, then you pay the lab before they draw the blood, the follow up for the reading should be free.
Now, last year I had to get some blood work done, follow me here ok it might be confusing but it works for most blood tests, this is to save major costs.
I used google and looked around the site, and found the blood work I needed to be done. I called them, they said, I pay them, they fax the bloodwork to the office where I would of gone anyhow, I went in and they said yes it was all paid for and I had the work done, the drawing station and the service you pay will not give you the results with diagnosis and what care is needed, they fax the info to your drs.
I paid 200 for almost 700 dollars worth of blood work. This is not the company I used. These are a few links, its up to you to chance it, its the same thing as those STD labs types of ads on the radio. They have contracts with blood labs, and thats how they get the better prices. You dont go to their office, they can even be out of state like the one I used was, its your Drs orders, just faxed from the place you choses office.
You get the list of blood work needed from your Dr, look on these sites find the same tests, and they simply fax the orders to the lab, I had used lab corp thats what the main one is in my area. If you dont see one of the tests listed, just call and they will add it in and tell you how much. You pay the company you choose, you tell them what lab to fax to, you call the lab, make sure the orders have arrived, and go have the work done, take the drs orders with you to compare what is ordered by the new company. The lab faxes your results to the office you chose, that office faxes to your Dr the results, the Dr doesnt care about this, he just needs results, and then you are on your way to getting better. Hope this makes since, I had no idea, that legally there are lots of blood tests people can just order on their own, through a place like this, and then get thier dr to read the results, saves so much money!
