no good movies

Does anyone else agree that lately the movies have been crap? and most of the movies are like dramas or remakes?. What ever happened to movies like in the 90's? damn i think hollywood stinks now.

Remember films like Home Alone? The Blair Witch Project and goodfellas? they have all gone now, well i think they have. I just wish Hollywood would at least try and bring the 90s back by making cool films, with actors you know.
 
I think there are good films out there - in the past few months I've seen Broken Flowers, Goodnight and Good Luck, The Life Aquatic, Sideways and The Hitchhiker's Guide, and all of them were great.
 
I think there are great films abound but what i think is missing is the great family films of the 80s. Nowdays the only films which are funny and exciting and entertaining are animated films. i miss things like Back to the Future, Short Circuit, Flight of the Navigator, Ghostbusters etc.

Nowdays films tend to be either: thrillers, horror/slasher flicks, gross out comedies, or kdis films. Where are the family blockbusters?? (LotR and Harry Potetr came close but weren't really comedy blockbusters)
 
i think there are great films out at the moment such as Crash,
The 40 Year Old Virgin,
The Exorcism of Emily Rose,
Brokeback Mountain,
Walk the Line
are just a few, i do like a lot of movies of the 90's but i dont think they are getting worse.



PS: The Blair Witch Project was PANTS IMO
 
Things Like Envy with Jack Black and Anger Management with Adam Sandler kind of count as good family movies I think.
 
There's always about 10-15 very good films come out every year, and about another 20-odd that fall short of greatness but are very entertaining and a good way to spend a couple of hours. These days, you just have to do a bit of research and brush up on where the artier cinemas are.
 
Thats all true, but i do miss the 90s because the films back then where excellent, but i think its gone downhill.

The only films i like these days are

1. Kill Bill Vol 1 & 2
2. Final Destination 3

lol, thats it. I really do miss the 90s, oh well goodbye 90s i will miss you. :cry:
