hey i just got my bareley used touch in the mail and was messing around with it when i realised that i had full web access... i tried to make a call and it says no service(which i assumed obviously since i just got it) but the web connects and runs perfectly.. how can this be?the phone isnt connected to sprint nelonger....im not complaining or anything but wanted to ask yall what u can make of this before i change the settings to get it on cricket and perhaps loose this connection, oh yeah and its evdo... blazing fast load times..amazing infact...
 
That's bazaar, maybe it's possible to get free EVDO wap on those, you should post whatever settings you can pull outta the phone so the smart people (not me) in this forum can try to figure it out.
 
whatver settings any1 would like to test or whatever to see whats going on let me know asap and ill write them down(WHERE ARE THEY?), i dont know much about the touch but i do know i have full evdo web and no damn service on the phone , im gonna leave it how it is till morning and use the evdo all night lol.. but i am converting it to cricket tomorrow,i have another brand new touch i havent turned on yet but i plan to crosscheck the settings with that one once i can locate the relevent settings on my phone.
also i know that my touch is DEFINITELEY not still connected to sprint.
 
ok im switchen the settings to cricket in a minute but just for the record the htc touch that i bought my girlfriend is the exact same. Its a brand sapanken new one and as soon as i put the battery in the web was working perfectly on hers as well. WHAT THE HELL? i didnt do anything to her phone and it gets evdo web.she plans to connect it to sprint but as of now she still is using her treo. On both touches we can access the sprint tv network and watch nfl network etc and get full web.. please someone who knows why this would be help me out.. does sprint let people have free evdo web just for buying a touch? neither is connected and i would really appreciate any info on how its evcen possible, i thought it was cuz mine was used but sure enough its the same on a brand new one..i almost want to just keep this as a multimedia device and get thevdo web,tv etc for free and just buy another cricket phone for phone calls. HELP PLEASE!! :befuddled
 
they dont know anything either, whatever well i just ordered another touch with 2nd day air, ill hook that baby up to cricket and keep this one how it is.. cant hurt to have 2. :)
