no computers cant detect my flash drive?

As of two days ago, not a single computer can detect my flash drive, I am using a sandisk cruzer micro 4gb. The light turns on in the flash drive letting me know there is power but no computer can detect it. I don't get the alert from windows that a usb device was connected. I go to my computer and its not there. I go to device manager and its also not there. This happened after I tried to install the u3 software on it, but it failed. After that no computer has been able to detect. How can I reformat it or fix it if no computer can detect it.

Sorry to say that there's no way to fix it if it is not detected, you know, you cannot fix an unseen damage.

sounds to me like your flash drive is broken so you might have to go get a new one hope anything you had on there was not important if there is there is a way to get it back but its the biggest pain in the ass ever
