No Bold for TMO?

Keep in mind an unlocked Bold will only run on EDGE and below when used on Tmobile, rendering it's key difference from the other BB models(3G) unusable.

Verizon doesn't unlock phones, but even so, GSM and CDMA phones are not interchangeable, so even if unlocked, you wouldn't be able to use the Thunder on Tmobile.

TMO is supposed to provide the customer with what the customer wants, this customer wants the bold, TMO ain't doin' that so it's time for me to switch.

Haha, good luck trying to find a provider that is as cheap as tmo. I have done alittle searching of my own and found the cheapest is about 60 to 70 a month ... Heck no! Mine is only like 40 a month!

Tmobile has mostly **** phones besides the curve and 8130.

I have the 8100 and its junk. My 4th one since there is a lot that breaks. I can't even take videos and don't have gps. BB should have done more instead of rushing the 8100 out and screwing the people that got it.

They will do the same with the bold if tmobile gets it. The 9030 will come out and rim will laugh at the people who bought the 9000.

regardless if t-mobile gets the bold or not, rememer one thing...the bold is more of a "tech device" there are only a small portion of cellphone users that are considered "tech users". blackberry and t-mobile will have to attract the masses. the people who are scared of jumping into something that looks like a pearl or a curve especially if it isn't something that they are use to using. then after they are converted then they can move into more "advanced" device like a bold. but the masses need something simple. so even though the "customer is always right", we being advanced users are still a small majority. worse case scenario we will get the javelin and then later get the bold or something better, remember they are always going to comeout with something better the first generation of any phone isn't the greatest, remember the problems with the first pearl, (minor for some others had major) but there were some quirks and things missing, same thing with the bold. it's going to be great but there will be things missing that will be included on future models

In the category "you get what you pay for" is AT&T. Yes they are a bit higher on data plans & some voice plans, however I would strongly encourage users to compare the two carriers very closely before believing the myth that T-Mobile is substantially cheaper. I use both T-Mo & AT&T, with identical BlackBerry plans, airtime minutes & my bills are within 5% to 8% of each other.

You must be treat your phone alittle harshly to have gone through so many ...I took care of my 8100 since I got it, and it still works fine. The only problem happens is the keys get stuck but I haven't gotten around to cleaning it. I would like to say that instead of getting another 8100, satisfy yourself with an 8120. They are a lot nicer. But honestly, I wouldn't mind the 8100 as a STARTER blackberry. So don't be so mad when you are the one replacing your 8100 with the same thing when you aren't satisfied. Also as a personal opinion, I prefer the pearl over curve. Just cause the difference in width. I like small phonesHey jonny, I was looking at tmobile uk and I saw a laptop internet card from tmobile, and was wondering if something like that is sold here in the US cause that would really help, I am going to be traveling over the next few months and I just want to use my phones sim .. If its not sold, could I buy it from the uk and still work here?

I am not hard on phones at all. I take care of them. I am on a budget. I can't go out and just buy another one. I have to warranty it out and be stuck with the same model. I would love a different model, but that is not in my budget. I would have an 8130 in a heartbeat if I could. I miss some of my free upgrade phones since they had the years old feature of taking videos.

I love and hate my pearl.

For tmo I pay $110 a month for 3 lines and 700 shared minutes. $20 internet for my BB, $15 for unlimited texts, $10 for 2nd line charge and $10 for 3rd line charge.

I can't find anything near that cheap.

My mom had two lines and almost same plan with sprint and her bill was near $200 a month.

Good question, sadly that's still a no. Currently Tmobile is the only provider running on the 1700/2100 band. There are talks it may spread to one of the Canada providers, but basically Tmo is leading the way.
