No Backseat Driving

that song p!sses me off though. I love it, but it's too long to put on a mix cd and sounRAB better with the album anyway.

Damn the Volta and their epic masterpieces!:afro: :drummer: :afro: :tramp:

You are aware that he is a producer first, right? Without using google, can you name me a single artist he produced?
I doubt it, which is why I can't take you seriously when you say you have heard nothing new or creative from him.

I'm just asking you to tell me why he is talented. I honestly don't know. I admit I don't like him as a musician and that may make me less aware of him, but I am not saying he is talented or not; just asking someone (you) who knows more about it then I do to inform me.

Are you saying because I don't like Kanye West and I don't think he's talented I'm close minded?

Isn't it a close minded view to say I have to appreciate his apparent talent?

Yeah Like Mike Patton but they are pretty hard to find.

But im talking about mainstream producers(most of them) that interfere with music to make it what they want. And its only gonna get worse. But this guy i know says his brother whos like 40-50 or something is starting a record company that does this and i figured i\'d spread the word or something.

Thats not why you're closeminded.
Writing off the entire genre of rap, is what qualifies you as close minded.

Don't worry though, you're not alone, there are droves of other idiots who do the same thing.

What makes you assume I've not heard any significant percentage of rap music? for the last two years I've lived with 3-4 rap heaRAB. No, not commercial rap heaRAB either. and yes, I give their cd's a listen. and no, I haven't heard one I've liked yet. I haven't "Written rap off" as you put it, as I do listen to it when they suggest to do so. I just don't like it and if you can't understand that, then you, little fella, are the childish one.:D

He produced Jay Z's masterpiece The Blueprint
He produced Common's Be

he has produced for john legend, nas, eminem.

listen to Be and tell me that kanye doesn't have talent.

I'm a tool? I'm sorry. I'm pretty sure that your music taste is a blend of top 40radio and generic classic rock.

So as I sit here all tool-like, I've got good music playing in the background. You listen to bland shit that any music newjack can hear on daytime radio back-to-back all day long.

Ah, this is the same argument those droves of idiots I referenced earlier use. At least you guys are consistant.

BTW

Kanye West produced four tracks on the Blue Print and sampled from David Ruffin, Bobby Blue Bland, Issac Hayes, The Jackson 5, The Doors, KRS-One and David Bowie to do so.

I see a lot of talent there but I'm not sure it's Kanye..."Bueller...anyone..."

I think it's best to ignore him Frances. He's picked a fight with everyone he's talked to tonight. Just remind yourself that Kanye West sampled Bowie on one of the two albums he cited as West credentials.
