no 6 star general? look in your military history books,with the afore named generals?

Perhaps these photos will help illustrate everyone's information, showing four stars (and a gold button to hold the epaulet).

mrs g,eagle take a peek at a pic of john blackjack) pershing in the history books(military) and you will notice a 5 star cluster on his shoulders followed by another one in the middle??? hummmm!!! It states he and George Washington were (both) 6 star generals!!
 
Looked up Pershings biography in a few places. They all state that Pershing never wore more than 4 stars, but that they were gold, to differentiate him from other 4 star generals.
Washington was posthumously promoted to an even higher rank by Gerald Ford in 1976 and therefore, he never wore six stars.

Good try though.
