NME top 50 albums of the 00s

Im not saying i agree with this list, but The Walkmen's Bows + Arrows would definately be in my top 15 of the decade. Great album.

And i think Think Tank is one of Blur's best albums. A lot more interesting than the majority of the stuff they've put out.

Oh come on, be a hip counter-cultural bastard all you want, it doesn't ALL suck. I think this is a really bad list but that doesn't mean these albums are all bad. A lot of them are fantastic, even. Illinois? Funeral? Kid A? Sure, they've lost a ton of credibility due to massive hype from Pitchfork and its ilk, but listen to the music! It's really good! The NME is not wrong simply because it is the NME, is my point. They're wrong because most of these choices are reaaaaaaaally weak.

I wonder how much thought was actually put into the making of that list, because it seems like an uninspired copy and paste job. I think some deserve to be there, but I just can't take it seriously with the Libertines at #2.

I thought that would be #1. The NME really hyped the crap out of Up The Bracket, i felt even more so than Is This It? and probably Elephant (as opposed to White Blood Cells i mean) but there you go.
