Hi everyone, i heard that nishiki use to make one of the best bikes but they're company isn't owned by the same person, are their bikes still good quality or any lesser? Even though sports authority sells nishiki bikes does that mean its not as good as a bike in a bike shop that is going for the same price? The bike i am looking at is called Nishiki Colorado Trail series 16'' frame or thats what the salesman wrote down for me and it is selling for 350 dollars. Is this bike worth the money? thanks.

P.S. If you want me to stir into a different bike i am not willing to pay over 350 dollars

I would not buy any bike that Sports Authority sells they are department store quality. Schwinn and Diamondback make good bikes but they also made low end bikes for department stores sounds like Nishiki is doing the same thing. You should visit the local bike shop and see what they have, Giant has a bike in that price range. Look on the local ebay and Craig's list for a used bike, there are a lot of good deals on mountain bikes because people buy them to commute with and find out it's no fun. Just get a name brand shop quality bike it will last a lot longer and ride better.
