It appeals to younger kids more so than the other two, but you don't have to be a kid to enjoy the games on it. That's just flat out retarded logic.


...and as far as the Wii having broader appeal, it's already working. My dad, who I couldn't even get to pick up my 8-bit NES controller and play something as simple as Mario came over my house for Christmas and played Wii Golf. I couldn't pry him away from it. There are countless stories just like this.
 
There are a lot of crap games (Happy Feet, and other movie-based titles), but if you have to have blood and gore in your mainstream games to enjoy them, something's wrong with you.

wii=kiddy.....kinda.... but the fact is in 5 or so years the wii's concept will be the platform for say a ps4 or an xbox180 its concept is lightyears beyond you can see that from sony slappin in a crappy motion sencing at the last moment. the wii i fell is about the past and future of gaming not the present....you can have All your clasics saved on the VC and you will beable to under stand the future of were gaming will be heading.....maybe?
 
yeah, it's a kiddy system because they want to release a broad range of games, with wide appeal, to continue to draw in gamers from fringe demographics?

I see they are coming out with another blood & guts samurai slasher title as well as the godfather blackhand edition for wii... those sound EXTREMELY kiddy to me.

Sounds to me like you are the one in denial, friend. They release kid games for the PS3 and 360 too, so those must be kiddy systems right?
