Nintendo Wants GoldenEye Back

If Nintendo wanted to release it through VC, I think the original Rare developers deserve a shit load of money. Microsoft have nothing to do with this.
 
but but why pay for all those games on virtual console when nintendo never adds anything to them and you can download their exact copies for free
 
Does microsoft actually own RARE now, the maker of goldeneye or simply have exclusive rights to them?

If they own them I think any intellectual property then belongs to the new owner but who knows what contracts Nintendo had with them.
 
Let the game die a legend. If it comes back, it's going to kill the great memories of the game. Even if it were re-released right now it will never be as good as it was back in the day.
 
What they should do is get exclusive rights for a Rare (i think that was the maker?) remake and remix of the game that makes use of the controller and such as well as updated effects/graphics. As a bonus, they would include the old school N64 version on the disk. Both would have MP.
 
when i play 4 player goldeneye on 64 it hurts my eyes and feels VERY SLOW

almost to the point where i can't play anymore, but i spent soo many hours playing it when i was younger
 
Rare and Nintendo didn't exactly part of the best of terms

They'd have more luck pressing Microsoft for Goldeneye rights than convincing rare to develop for a Nintendo system
