Ninja Turtles - The Lost Season Talkback (spoilers)

I'm almost certain Fathers and Sons screws up the timeline again like they did with that 'training young Casey' episode, but I can't quite put my finger on it. How much time passes between the death of Yoshi and Splinter finding the turtles? and from there how much time passes until they get oozed? and how much more time still until the events of this episode?

It also raises the question of how much splinter knew about the utroms before the events of season 1 and 2. Not to mention who bothered to cremate Yoshi, and where splinter stole his ashes from...

Well, it seems Americans will get to see at least one episode of the Lost Season legitimately, at least if the Technodrome.com forums are to be believed: apparently, Recruitment Drive is set to air next Saturday, along the next Fast Forward episode, Class of 2105.

On another note, do we have a definitive casualty list for the Lost Season?
The Shredder and his heralds are obvious ones, as well as the numerous amount of cannon fodder in the Foot, E.P.F. and the Shredder's army (including some with speaking roles). How about Ruffington and the Mayor? We saw them at the mercy of the Shredder or his minions, but there wasn't a definitive death scene with either of them (not that they would rate one, anyway), but I think a case could be make either way.

On a similar note, I kind of wish Hun had been killed off this season. I really don't see much remaining use for the character, and given how grating his new voice is, I don't fancy hearing it again if the series continues past their return to the 21st century. Also, I'm kind of glad Nightmares Recycled ended up getting canned.

Edited to add...again: Also, I'm really really glad they made Bishop kick ass again, after a mostly sedate (but still excellent) portrayal in Season 4. His segment of the final battle was easily one of the highlights of the season.

Somehow, I don't think so; I know my VAs pretty well, and I'm pretty Kayzie doesn't sound quite like them, plus the fact she hasn't been listed in the credits as far as I know. Now, if there was some written PROOF, I could be persuaded...

It didn't air because censorship has increased since some time in 2006. The new Fox censors wouldn't allow the season 4 'Zombie Baxter' episode to air.

So 4Kids had to change the show to a less violent format and took advantage of the proposed 'future' season. Hence why the look changed from the griitier comic book style to the pastel color scheme which lacks the color black.

Hopefully, Cartoon Network will air the lost season since Fox won't due to the presence violence (although no worse than previous TMNT seasons.)

Wait. We know one episode, Nightmares Recycled, was canned in mid-production for this reason. This was the same time the new censor board banned Insane in the Membrane. If the whole season was violent, wouldn't all of it have been canned?

Plus one episode of the lost season, Membership Drive, has aired. And 4Kids is starting to show old 2K3 episodes again. So unless theres insider info confirming this, it's probably not the main reason behind the Lost season not airing on tv.

and all that has nothing to do with why the dvd set hasnt been released yet.

No, they axed Season 5 because the toy licensors thought a "reboot", aka Fast Forward, would sell better, despite all the toyetic applications of the Ninja Tribunal season. That's why they went ahead with Fast Forward, not because of censorship.
