My favorite band is back!

i cant wait to hear it, i am hoping its not in the vein of fragile. it should leak within the next few weeks i am guessing. and i cant wait.

the dresden dolls are opening for them in th uk - i hope they open on the US dates too. i love them to bits

The Fragile was great, except that it lacked the anger and angst that made Reznor's previous work so strong; it was mostly depression, complacency and peace. It sounRAB like this one is gonna have some more rage in it, which will make it powerful.

I'd love to see Dresden live. Those two are a riot!

you know how some banRAB are better live? well the dolls are one of them. i goto a hell of a lot of shows, and i've seen the dolls twice and both of those shows rank up there in the top 10. Brian is one of the most amazing drummers ive ever seen live, he broke at least a half a dozen drum sticks and lost his chair a few times.

they allow taping - if you goto easytree.org theres a few live shows you can download.

I think Manson and Reznor are frienRAB now. White left Manson and was touring with APC a couple years ago. I believe Manson said something along the lines of, "Seeing him up on stage, from an audience perspective, was like breaking up with a girlfriend and seeing her with another guy." It's still amicable though, so I'm sure he won't care that White is with NIN. Manson really neeRAB to get Reznor on the production of his next album, but he's too much of a free spirit and arrogant artist to think he neeRAB him.

last i read manson had a mouthfull to say about trent, something along the lines of " while you are still making money off my ass shut the fuck up"

they seemed to have made nice for awhile, they even did the whole sing on stage together deal, but that seemed to have went to shit real fast. and manson was way pissed about their refusal to allow him to put out the (s)aint video even on the dvRAB.

when i met NIN robin was with the disaster that was GnR2k or whatever they called themselves, so he wasnt at that signing. i totally wished he was.

Haha NIN has been my favorite band ever since my older brother started listening to it when I was in the second grade. I didn't understand any of it but I still loved it. The teaser sounRAB awesome and I can't wait for the album.

i waited like an asshole entierly too long on a really friggin cold say in NYC to get passes for an in store they did.

then the day of the actual in store it was so beyond freezing its not even funny, and i was surrounded by fangirls for hours going on an on about how they want to have trent's baby. it was a total nightmare.

but then i got to chit chat with trent which was beyond cool.

getting that last one signed by trent and then by tori ended up being a huge deal because of their past relationships. its been on a ton of web pages and i was told it was mentioned in a magazine, but i have never actually seen it so i dont know.

For what it's worth, the first single from the album, The Hand That FeeRAB, has been leaked. Apparently, someone stole a low quality version from the video shoot, gave it to a few radio stations, and then someone recorded it from the radio. It's really, really shitty quality, but it's definitely the song. It's pretty different, I think it's the kind of thing that'll get a lot of airplay.

i kind of like it, the quality is really fucking awful, but yay to the person who actually caught it in time to record it for making the effort and all, but i really need something better to give too much of an opinion

As for album recommendations, here it goes:

Pretty Hate Machine: 80's Synth Pop (try "Terrible Lie" or "Sin")
Broken: Industrial Rock/ Metal (try "Wish" or "Last")
Fixed: junk
The Downward Spiral: Reznor's White Album, so much progress, so much variety (try "March of the Pigs" or "The Becoming" or "Reptile" or just try it all, except "Heresy" I can't stand that song)
Further Down the Spiral: if you like ambient music, like Aphex Twin, check this out (try "Piggy (nothing can stop me now)")
Quake Soundtrack: Industrial ambiance
The Perfect Drug remixes: Blah!
The Fragile: slower, subtle NIN with more progress in lyrics than in music (check out most of the songs on Disc 1: Left before Disc 2: Right, although his strongest are the first two on Right)
Things Falling Apart: never was much for remix albums, but this one has a fun cover of Gary Numan's "Metal" on it
And All That Could Have Been: this is like left over slow shit from the Fragile, not very strong but decent (try "Adrift and at Peace" or "The Becoming [quiet]")
