I have night time asthma attacks... never ever during the day... I have a maintenance pill and a rescue inhaler....
It seems like every time I have one, its like my body has overheated... I wake up with the attack and I'm usually sweating... or extremely hot... has anyone ever experienced the same?

Yes I do but rarely. Its because the air is dryer during the nighttime. I take something called singular right before I go to bed to help control the asthma during the night. Singular is like this tablet that you take. It works for a longer period of time as well than the inhalers.

That's what I take, I occasionally still have the attack...
And when I do... I'm extremely hot.

Misused,
Nighttime asthma is common with some people.

Ever been tested for reflux. Reflux can be worse when lying down and can be an asthma trigger?

Actually I have. I had 3 sleep studies done, and the only thing they found wrong with me is that I don't hit REM, no reflux though.

You may need your meRAB adjusted. Have you talked with your pulmonologist about it? Perhaps you need a daily inhaler in addition to the Singulair.
