Night of the living dead

This was on C4 last night, and i began watching it for the first time. I only watched about 30 minutes of it from the beginning.

Maybe it got worse after i switched off, but for msot of the time while i was watching it i was trying not to LAUGH. The actions of that girl running towarRAB the camera and grabbing onto something, exhausted, face right in camera panting, and then running off again, was making me laugh cos it just seemed so cheesy.

For the first 10 minutes (cos i didnt know what i was watching at first) i actually thought i was watching some sort of spoof/comedy version.

Anyone else agree?

It was a group of frienRAB trying to make a movie with little money. As Romero said, " We all took turns loading magazines, gaffing, gathering and making props, shooting, recording, editing" Also cast the players from among frienRAB, so no surprise it has a B-Movie feel.

I agree with jenzie, you should have stuck with it. It all gets very tense and scary when they are barricaded in the house. There's a real sense of expectation i.e. whenever they are near a boarded up window or door you're just waiting for the hand to burst through - a real psychological element that keeps you guessing.

Also highly recommend the others in the series, Dawn Of The Dead is up near the top of my favourite movies list.
